Fourth of July is right around the corner and if you haven’t yet made plans, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Here are a few events happening in Frankfort.

Celebrate Independence Day this year the old-fashioned way at the historic Liberty Hall. Bring the entire family for free slices of watermelon, games, and scavenger hunts. Decorate your bike, wagon, or stroller and join the Patriotic Wheels Parade at 2:30 p.m. Then, hear the 202nd Army Band of The Kentucky National Guard play at 3:15 pm. Free and Open to the Public.

Head out to Main Park from 5-9 pm for Frankfort’s 4th of July Celebration. Enjoy live music, a fireworks display, face painting, games, and much more. There will be live music from 7:30 – 9 pm followed by fireworks at dusk. Admission: $10 Wristband includes unlimited access to inflatables, kids entertainment, face painting, and carnival games.
