Frankfort has quite a bit of history and sometimes it can be especially fun to hang out in your own city and pretend to be a tourist! If your routine is getting a bit dull or if you simply want to spend some time with your loved ones exploring this great city, then definitely make some time to check out the floral clock located right behind the spectacular Kentucky State Capitol.

Dedicated to Governor Bert T. Combs in 1961, this historic landmark was constructed on the lawn of the state capitol and is definitely worth the visit. Trust us, you’ve never seen a clock like this before. The clock itself sits suspended above a pool of water that is 4 feet deep. It’s also known as a wishing well, so it’ll make the perfect afternoon excursion for you and your date. It’s also a great location to snap some pictures so be sure to have your camera ready!
