Frankfort has quite a bit of history, so this summer, why not spend some time exploring some of it? After all, sometimes it can be fun to be a tourist in your own city! Here are a few upcoming events and things to do.
Frankfort Historical Society has plenty of activities lined up for the little ones, but this July 22, they’re also hosting a workshop for adults. Spend the morning taking a look at their collection of cars and then design and build your own! Bring your friends and try something new. If you have little ones, they’ll love testing out their handiwork. For more information about times and tickets, go here.
The Frankfort State Capitol is a beautiful building and it’s even more majestic inside! The Beaux Arts style building boasts a combination of Greek architecture and French-style elegance. Even if architecture isn’t your thing, the grounds of the State Capitol are landscaped to perfection. Take a stroll with your sweetie or just spend an afternoon enjoying a relaxing walk through the gardens.
